You may not have heard of Oboz, an upstart company based in Bozeman, Montana that's committed to making great all-around technical footwear. After learning Oboz was being run by a lot of old friends from other companies in the footwear sector of the outdoor industry, I expected a lot out of the Bridgers-and suffice it to say, I have not been disappointed. These are the kind of shoes that you might wear to work on a Casual Friday, leave on as you head east of the Cascades to enjoy the bounty of the desert in the late spring, and never swap out for a pair of hiking boots all weekend-simply because you never need to. That's basically what happened with me and the Bridgers on a recent trip around the Soap Lake area. The Bridgers really deliver on comfort and outstanding underfoot support, and the cool styling got compliments in the city.
