The phrase "True to the Trail" is the guiding principle here at Oboz. As a new company, we're faced with direction changing decisions every day. Filtering all of our decisions through the True to the Trail test helps us stay consistent with the vision that led us to create Oboz Footwear.

The application of True to the Trail is extensive. The most literal and tangible interpretation of the phrase involves the product. All of our styles are designed to perform on trails and help people get into the wilderness. We make shoes for trail running, hiking, backpacking, approaching crags, scrambling and general exploration of wild places. These activities are our passion and True to the Trail reminds us to stay close to our core when designing our shoes.

True to the Trail also guides our environmental ethics. We all have a vested interest in environmental protection as our livelihoods center on outdoor activities. When we aren't talking about shoes here at the office, we're probably discussing the snow conditions up at Bridger Bowl or our latest adventure on the bike. Looking to protect our favorite getaways, we try to minimize our carbon footprint and support organizations and causes that improve the state of the environment. Staying True to the Trail means keeping these environmental considerations in the forefront of thought.
