Here at Oboz, we strongly believe in simplicity and quality. All of our technological features were designed to improve the performance of the shoe in direct and meaningful ways rather than throwing on unnecessary gadgets that sound cool, but do little to improve the shoe. What you'll find here are true, well thought out, performance oriented technological features.

OUTSOLE DESIGN

The outsole is one of the most important parts of the shoe because it's the interface between you and the outside world. We, therefore, take great pride in offering you our proprietary, meticulously designed outsoles. Take a look at them in detail here.

BFIT™ INSOLES

There’s a lot that goes into making a shoe comfortable, but the insole is probably the most obvious. We have, therefore, taken insole design pretty seriously since day one. We offer three different BFit Insoles: BFit Deluxe, BFit Standard and BFit Minimal. Here's a video of Josh, our head product developer, explaining the features of all our BFit insoles.

3D MOLDED HEEL COUNTER

Many of the Oboz models come with something called a 3D molded external heel counter. Most shoes have heel counters, but what’s unique about the Oboz ones is that they are molded three dimensionally instead of flat and bent to shape. The heel counter provides a nice shape to the back of the shoe, which will help prevent heel slippage and keep your foot centered inside the shoe. Since our heel counters are 3D molded, they will keep their shape over time.

BDRY™MEMBRANE

BDry is our own polyurethane waterproof-breathable membrane. The membrane is laminated between a protective mesh and a hydrophilic lining mesh. Water vapor is pulled from the inside of the shoe onto the lining mesh and then transmitted through the micro-porous membrane & protective mesh to the outside environment. The membrane allows water vapor to escape, but is impervious to water entering.
